Ornamental grasses are great seasonal plants.
Early spring they sprout in green bunches. As summer progresses so do the seed heads as they burst into florescent shades of silver pink and tan. Winter brings swaying seed heads, as they blow in the drifting snow.
Ornamental grasses are easy to grow, hardy and resistant to most pests. They come in varieties from low 6” mounds of bright blue fescue to huge billowing grasses, such as Japanese Silver Grass that towers up to 12-15 feet.
